I LOVE Knitty free patterns.
I've been working on this sweater for a while.
Small needles...
and small yarn.
I love how it's knit in one piece. Pretty nifty!
I feel like I've been knitting and knitting and knitting - and my sweater's not getting any bigger.
Frown.
So I started a smaller project with bigger needles...
and bigger yarn.
Instant gratification.
Smile.
It'll be an eternity scarf. Hopefully I'll finish before the weather turns warm.
I'll take that back - hopefully it's too warm to wear it by the time I get it finished this week!
I usually work on one project at a time, but I'm impatient. I think it's a symptom of a long winter.
I wanted to feel like I'm making progress. And now I do.
What have you been crafting up while waiting for Spring?
hugs, K
Love the knitting! Not a skill I am very good at yet but I work at it. I'm trying to clear up all the projects that I have on the go in my sewing room. I do tend to start a project and then leave it for another and another! Sometimes for boredom, sometimes another thing really has a deadline. In any case when Spring comes, I would like all the rif raf that is cluttering my mind (and sewing room) to be done and gone so I can have a fresh start to the season and work on projects that are budding in my brain!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting! I have more ideas than time, too :-)
DeleteI have unfinished knitting in my basket. Maybe I'll tackle that next. Can't wait to see your scarf and your sweater, don't care if it's July ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove "Hands Sew Full" reply to your insightful take on small needles and small yarn and the satisfaction of (quick) progress. You're too funny! Love it. For my part, crafting nothing (taking in all the live music I can and cleaning seems to be what I'm up to).
