The chicken tractor is complete!
-Except that we still need some flowers in the window boxes.
The perfect home for Minnie, Martha, MacAdoo and Ruby.
Mike's grandmother's name was Minnie Martha MacAdoo and she was blessed with 13 children.
Our plan is to bless these chickens with her name and her prolificity ( not sure if that's a word or not, but you know what I mean )
Today's the day. No more baby bed... you're big girls now.
Take a look around.
I think you'll like it here.
( that's Ruby in the front, chewing on a blade of grass )
It's just a short walk down the boardwalk to a lovely yard, complete with fresh grass and a smorgasbord of delicious bugs and worms.
Come on out - see for yourself!
They really are chicken! It took the better part of an hour - and bribery too - for them to risk the great outdoors.
Anyway, they're happy now, and going in and out whenever they please. :-)

P.S. Blogger won't let me comment on any of your blogs and I can't figure out why.
Hopefully, I'll be in touch soon...
Karen------try this and see if it works, it worked for me.
ReplyDeleteWhen you sign in with you gmail address, leave the box that says "Stay logged in"--leave that unchecked. You should be able to comment then. Don't know what that does, but it works.
Good luck, by the way, the chicks are adorable.
That is the neatest thing ever...so you can tote it all over and they won't ruin the grass, right?
ReplyDeleteThe chickens are so so cute and I love the story behind their names. As for blogger, I had the same problem and read on someone else's blog that if you cleared your cache and emptied your cookies it would help. I did both of those then restarted my computer and well here I am, commenting away happily! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteKaren ~ Happy Happy Day the Chicks are in their own house. I am soooo glad that they don't suffer from separation anxiety or else we would both be in trouble ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi...I don't know which post I like best: the chickens in their new home or the re-new camper. It's all wonderful. Such verve!
